UKRAINIAN DX CLASSIC RTTY CONTEST

RULES 2013


Organizer: The Ukrainian Contest Club (UCC)

Date: The 3-rd full weekend of June (in 2013 it will be on 15-16 of June).

Time: 12:00 UTC Saturday to 11:59 UTC Sunday.

Modes: RTTY (45.45 baud rate)

Frequency Band: 3.5 - 28 MHz (excluding WARC bands).

Categories of participants:

- SINGLE-OP ALL HIGH RTTY

- SINGLE-OP ALL LOW RTTY (max. output power 100 watts)

- SINGLE-OP ALL 6-HOUR RTTY

- SINGLE-OP 80M (40M,20M,15M,10M) RTTY

- MULTI-OP ALL RTTY (single TX)

All entries separated by World and Ukraine.

The use of DX-cluster is permitted for all categories .
However self-spotting is strictly prohibited.

Duplicate contacts with same station on the band
counts 0 points. No penalty for duplicate QSO. Please
do not delete dupes.

Single Operator All Band 6 hour - entrants in this
category must enter a log for the first 6 hours of
their contest operation. If they wish to operate for a
longer period the remainder of their log must be entered
as a separate CHECKLOG. Rest periods may not be less
than 1 hour per period. For example: Start at 14.30 UTC,then
at 16.30 UTC the beginning of the rest period, then at 19.00
start of the continuation of activity until 23.45. So hereby
your 6 hours log must consist of 14.30 – 16.30 and 19.00 –
22.59 UTC periods. The rest part of the log from 23.00 until
23.45 UTC is the CHECKLOG.

In the Single Band category you can make QSO on other
bands. Single Band entrants who operate other bands
during the contest are encouraged to submit full log
for more than one band to aid in the log cross-checking
process. They should send one Cabrillo file of full log
and thoroughly indicate correct category in the head of
the file.

Contest exchange:

For Ukrainian stations: RST(RS) + two letters (oblast abbreviation);

For all other participants: RST(RS) + serial number starting from 001.

QSO points:

a) 1 point for QSO with own country;

b) 2 points for QSO with different country on the same continent;

c) 3 points for QSO with different continent;

d) 10 points for QSO with Ukraine (for participants outside of Ukraine only).

Multipliers:

DXCC and WAE countries plus Ukrainian oblasts on every band.

Ukraine also is a country multiplier for foreign stations, i.e.
the first QSO on each band gives 2 multipliers.


*For stations in Ukraine multiplier is DXCC + WAE countries only
(Ukraine counts as a country).


Awards and plaques.

Winner in each category will be awarded by plaque or prize.
Top leaders in all categories will receive awards.

LOGS:

CABRILLO is a preferred format for logs. This Contest is
supported by most of popular contest loggers as follows :
MixW(http://www.mixw.net/ ), TR4W ( http://www.tr4w.com/download/mmtty/ ),
N1MM-log ( www.n1mm.com ), Writelog ( www.writelog.com ),
RCKlog (http://www.rcklog.de/ ), Win-Test (www.win-test.com )
etc.

Logs must be submitted in Cabrillo format by e-mail to: urdxcrtty@ukr.net .
Subject line of your e-mail entry must include your callsign only e.g. UR1ABC.
Logs should be sent as a plain ascii text attachment and include your callsign
e.g. ur1abc.log or ur1abc.cbr. All logs must be received within 15 days in
order to qualify.

Reception of every log will be confirmed by e-mail.
Also you can check the reception of your log at http://www.urdxc.org .

Participants may be disqualified for breaking the rules
of the contest or unsportsmanlike behaviour.

The decision of Contest Committee is final.
