On Sunday 20th October, 2013, Paul VK5PAS, activated the Barker Rocks Conservation Park on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia.
This was part of the 6 month anniversary of the amateur radio program, VK5 National & Conservation Parks Award, sponsored by the Adelaide Hills Amateur Radio Society.
A total of 6 contacts were made in about 30 minutes on 40m SSB into VK5.
Equipment used was a Yaesu FT-817nd, 5 watts, and a 40m/20m linked dipole, supported on a 7m squid pole.
