I have put this video together repairing an IC-756 I picked up from eBay with a number of faults. I hope you find the video interesting.Regarding the surface mount rework, I heated up the PCB prior to applying the hot air as not to distort the board.Sorry it's a long video, tried to capture all the fault finding logic.
