• 40 Meter Band QSO - KB6NHQ is Loud and Clear

After years of delays and procrastinations I finally completed a decent antenna for the 40 meter ham radio band. It is a simple 1/4 wave vertical with four 1/4 wave ground radials. The main element is actually a 28 foot fiberglass pole (made by Jackite) with 33.5 feet of 14ga stranded wire spiraled around it. The feed-line is an old piece of RG-58 that was laying around. The rig in the video is a Yaesu FT-101 made in the 1970s that belongs to my friend who can be heard talking on the radio.
