Hi! Thank you for visiting my QRZCQ page.My name is Kelvin and I live on the East Coast of South Africa,about 120Km south of Durban,close to Port Shepstone


My other hobbies include: SCUBA diving (I am a instructor and a rescue diver). In fact anything to do with the ocean I enjoy. I do yacht deliveries all over the world when I get a chance..Camping and fishing . Photography including video and video editing.Hunting and hand gun target shooting

I grew up in a family that enjoyed motorcycling and started riding motorcycles at age 9.

I started racing enduro’s at age 16; I also did trial riding (foot-ups) for a couple of years. I then started riding road bikes. My first road bike was a Suzuki 250 GT then a 750 2stroke,Kawasaki KR250, Yamaha FZ750, Yamaha FZR 1000exUp and a Yamaha R1 YZF (to many others to mention including off road bikes).

My late Father was very mechanically orientated and I have learned from him how to rebuild car engines and motorcycle engines.

I worked for a telecommunication company for 24 years and the last two years I was a lecturer and assessor for the company but being shot twice (attempted hijacking and robbery) and shot at once while driving, all over a four year period I took a package and left.

I am a semi pensioner and using my hobbies for extra income.

Electronics has been a hobby all along from a young age.

I am divorced and blessed with a wonderful Daughter. My first child (my Son) passed away at age 16 in 2003.

My equipment I use is: Kenwood TS 130 s

Recently purchased a Icom IC 735 and a Icom 728

I am using an 80-meter sky loop wire antenna and use a Yaesu FC707 antenna tuner.

My 2mtr rig is a Kenwood TR 9000
