Biography

Hello...and thanks for having a look..

I am very active on the 10..15..17..20 meter bands when ever they are open.
Have been a ham for a few years and still find collecting countries exciting.
I live in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa a few hours away from the Addo Elephant Park and a few other game farms. I am retired and still work from home doing specialist grinding to keep me going when the bands are dead.

My wife Colette ZS2CR and I are both keen gardeners and do grow Clivia flowers for a hobby.

QSLing

This is always done within the week that I get cards..Depending on whether it has return postage..Self Addressed envelope..and has not been altered.
I cannot finance return post to everybody unless we have a prior arrangement.
And for those that gripe NO I am not making a business out of it !!!!!
The bureau takes a bit longer so if you choose that then please be patient.
Things are very expensive down here in this part of the world..
Remember LoTW does a great job as well and I up load quite often.

My very best regards
Mitch

Equipment

My radios are very simple but do the job required.
Yaesu FT-950 for phone and CW work.
A IC-7200 for the digi modes
The beam is a SteppIR up 20 meters so it does help.
There is a home made 3 element monoband yagi for 17m up 9 meters high.
