Biography

First Licensed in 1977
I live out in the country and enjoy an almost zero noise level except for when the sun plays up or a lightning storm is close.

Equipment

I have three antennas
an OCF @ 30 feet that works equally badly on all frequencies
160,80,40 trapped dipole @ 25 feet aka ARRL design
and an extended double zepp cut for 80m flying 100 feet above ground
primary rig is an ancient TS440 backed up by an even more ancient FT101Z
For VHF I have a kenwood in the car and a IC211 in the shack
presently working on a homebrew linear
