First liscened as a Novice in 1976 tested by W8BEP in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan as WN8ARZ. Nine months later upgraded to Advanced by testing at FCC office in Marquette, Michigan. Writen test and code testing administered by FCC represenitive. In those days that written test was as tough as any college exam I have had. Very much enjoy doing HF mobile 10-160 meters, and of course vhf / uhf from time to time. WD8ARZ-9 used for APRS operation from the mobile. 73

For HF: Yaesu FT1000MP and Kenwood TS-480HX
For VHF / UHF: Kenwood TMD710AG with built in APRS / GPS as WD8ARZ-9 Rig includes weather with auto alerting. In SkyCommand mode can use my walkie talkie ht to link digitally with the system and operate HF with my HT which is really KooL ... hi Hi HI
