| Biography Retired in 2011 from local community college as a computer support technician after working in the computer industry for many years. Got back into ham radio after a 35 year absence. Purchased a like new ICOM 746PRO rig. Running 100 watts to 80 meter and 40 meter Windom Dipoles in an Inverted V configuration for 80 thru 6 meters. Have a reduced sloper for 160 meters. Also have a Center Fire quarter wave dipole for 2 meters. Previous rig was a Heathkit DX-60A transmitter and Lafayette HA-500 receiver, which I used for 45 years. Both still work well, but are a little behind in technology. Original shack was in the basement which was a bit cold in the winter. Converted old closet upstairs into new shack. Small but cozy, and warm. Worked DXCCs: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
