Biography

Been licensed for 59 years.

Operate all digital modes including JT65, JT9, PSK31, Olivia and Contestia. Olivia and Contestia are my favorites. They are the most robust working signals that are not even on the waterfall. Also, the transmit buffer runs slower at lower modes!

I also operate some SSB on 80, 60 and 40 meters.

Equipment

RIG: Elecraft K3 100 watts on 160 through 6 meters.

AMPLIFIER: Elecraft KPA500 on 160 through 6 meters; not on 60 meters of course.

MAIN ANTENNA: 80 meter Carolina Windom as an inverted Vee up 35 feet at apex.

OTHER ANTENNA: GAP Titan DX works on 80 (100 KHz) and 40 through 10 meter bands inclusive.

The Windom is by far the best antenna.
