Biography

I have been a ham for more than 50 years. I work mainly HF DX (160-10) using CW, SSB, RTTY, and PSK. I have not been much of an award collector but currently have DXCC Honor Roll, 5B DXCC (plus 30M, 17M, 12M, and 160M), DXCC (several), WAZ, WPX (several), WAS (several), and WAC (several).

I am also XV2W (and was 3W2NWS). I once did W6NWS/VO2 (1984).

Equipment

Current station is K3 (TS-2000 backup) and Ameritron ALS-1306 (Dentron Clipperton-L backup). Antennas are 4 el yagi for 40/30 at 100 feet (30M), 8 ele LPDA at 75 feet (25M), and a half sloper for 80M.160M. I run DXLab and N1MM as loggers.
