Biography

I am a Vietnam vet. Was station on Redbeach from 1970 to 1971, was in the US army from 1968 to 1976. I am a retired Texas peace officer of 20 + years. Started in ham radio in 1988 as a novice, now hold an Extra license as well as a GROL license.

Equipment

At the present time, I have an Icom 756 PRO III, and a Flex 5000A HF with VHF/UHF radios. I also have a 1K solid state amp by SPE Expert 1K FA and two tower systems, one at 86 feet tall which has a hygain 11 elem. Beam Which operates on 20, 15, 17, 12 and 10 meters. The second tower is 65 Feet high and supports a 3 elem. Stipper beam which operates from 30 meters thru 6 meter. I also have two mobile units from Yaesu, their FT857 D with the Yaesu AT-120 antenna system which works very well with the vehicls they are are mounted in.
