Biography

Greeting from the north east corner of Texas. Winnsboro is surrounded by 13 lakes and centered between Dallas and Texarkana in the Big Woods area of Texas.

I am a little late to the game, licensed General in June 2012. I have been interested in electronics for most of my adult life, but for no good reason, postponed getting into Ham Radio until in my 50's. As a professional, I own a retail computer network sales/service/consulting firm. I have spent the last 20 years as a software developer and a network security consultant. But Hams are the original geeks!

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

If you contacted me on HF, most likely I was using my home rig which is a Kenwood TS-590A or Icom IC-746 connected to a MFJ 2012 OFC Multiband dipole mounted as an inverted "V" at 40 feet. I will generally run 100 watts on SSB and 20 watts digital. Sometimes I am on my Yaesu FT-897D or FT-817ND if away from home. I use a Signalink USB interface on an Apple iMac at home when operating digital. I use FlRig/FlDigi on the Mac and HRD when running Windows.

QSL on QRZ, LotW, or on eQSL. I also accept direct mail.

If we had a contact over the airwaves, thanks, and hope to catch you again. If not, then maybe we will connect in the future...

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
