Biography

ARRL-registered Instructor, co-teach many Technician and General License preparation classes each year (since 2016), along with my husband, AF0W. We are preparing to teach our first Extra License class in the fall of 2019.

ARRL and LAUREL Volunteer Examiner. Lead exam sessions for each of our classes, in addition to helping with the regularly-scheduled club exam sessions.

Active in Longmont, Colorado (USA) Amateur Radio Club (LARC), found at w0eno.org and Northern Colorado Amateur Radio Club (NCARC) in Fort Collins, CO, found at ncarc.net.

Have taught myself CW, can do about 12-15 wpm. Practicing to increase my speed & accuracy. Want to be competent at it for Field Day 2019.

Enjoy contesting, antenna building, field events, doing GOTA sessions with our students, project building, and would like to build a QRP rig and a pixie key still.

Not much time to be on the radio, with all the time our classes are taking up, as well as work.

Almost all of this equipment was purchased used (except for the G5RV, the Ed Fong, and the Endfed antenna), and some had to be repaired when purchased to get them into working condition. I did the tree climbing and attic crawling myself to install the antennas! :)

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
