Biography

Originally licensed in 1976, I have been an Amateur Extra since 1977.

I enjoy rag chewing on 10 and 6 meters, as well as listening to a variety of short wave stations, including WTWW. I also enjoy working stations via a UHF hotspot. You can normally find me on AmericaLink (Wires-X) or 30-C (D-Star).

I have been a VE since 1993 and I am currently the VE coordinator for the Mile-Hi VE Team in Denver. The Mile-Hi team is the oldest, continually active VE team in the state of Colorado. The team has been in operation since September, 1984. It was originally started by Glenn and Karen Schultz, now both silent keys. We conduct Amateur Radio exams the second Saturday of every month.

Equipment

FTDX101 into a LDG tuner to a 30' end fed antenna at 25 feet.
