Biography

Received present call in July 1949 in Omaha, NE. Repaired some of t he first black and white TV sets, then hired by Motorola Corp to do two way communications in the State of Nebraska. Joined US Air Force in 1952, became Fighter Pilot and retired after 30 years. Greatest honor was to lead the flyby for President Truman's funeral. Retired from Air Force and came to Oklahoma City, OK where was Director of Lear Seigler Corporation for two years. Started oil and gas company and was CEO until retirement in 2009.Many hobbies, but most enjoyable is Ham Radio. Build and test wire antennas and baluns, etc. Work on old ham boatanchers and broadcast antique radio's. Stay active in local civic organization's.Very active in military groups.

Equipment

Main transceiver is FT-5000 MP driving Emtron DX 3-SP, Ameritron AL 1500, Alpha 76A and Heathkit SB-200's amplifiers.Own 20 older transceivers.10 wire antennas on old horse Ranch. Largest is 3200' horizontal loop at 60'.
