Biography

Previous call signs WD9BBI, K9WE.

First licensed as WD9BBI in 1975, I was very active on all the HF Bands and dabbled in some satellite contacts until the mid 1980's. Work commitments required multiple relocations so we just never found time to return to amateur radio for next 23 years. In October 2006,we move to our retirement home in the Ozark Mountain area of South West Missouri. At that time I held the call sign K9WE but decided to change it, when it was time to renew, to W0BBI.

My current station consists of an Elecraft K3, P3, KPA500, KAT500 & Navigator Interface. I enjoy working CW and digital modes, but I do get on SSB. Software includes HRD, MMTTY and WSJT-X. We are "Working the World On A Wire" using only 2 wire antennas (OCF Windom 6-80 & 160 Dipole) on all bands from 6 to 160. Awards include DXCC(325), 8BDXCC, WAC, WAZ, WAS.

Other interest include restoring 60's vintage Muscle Cars and aviation.

We QSL 100% and if requested on your QSL, we reply to all direct (via direct) and buro (via buro) QSL's received. Please note; no stamps, IRC's or funds are neceassary for a reply QSL. We are more than happy to send a card if you would like one. SWL cards will be replied to in the same manner.

For the fastest confirmation I highly recommend "LoTW" and/or "Club Log."

73 & Great DX from the Ozark Mountains, Stone County Missouri.
