Biography
Update: 11th January 2023:
All QSL cards received, 2 from GB, 1 from DL, 1 from JA and SM, have been replied to.
All VPFF planned activity complete.
Most QSOs were on FT8/4 and we could operate that mode as long as the laptop battery lasted. Which was about 2 hours.
VPFF-8135 Volunteer and Cow Bay - Didn't achieve the required 44 QSOs.
VPFF-8132 The Narrows - Qualified.
VPFF-8105 Bertha's Beach - Qualified but had to go back twice to achieve the required QSOs.
VPFF-8130 Stanley Common and Cape Pembroke Peninsula including Cape Pembroke Lighthouse.
Completed 25th May 2022 with 60 QSOs logged, all on FT8/4 modes across 4 bands.
No stations heard/worked on SSB despite calling on various bands.
The WX was the deciding factor for all portable working and access was good for all of the planned VPFF locations.
Photos will be posted at a later date due to the very high cost of internet access here on the Falkland Islands.
I do not collect QSL cards.
Please do not send your QSL card via e-mail, bureau or eQSL.
I do not subscribe to or use any QSL card services.
ALL completed QSO have been uploaded to ClubLog.org
If you don't see your callsign on Club Log, then we didn't QSO.
73, Dave. VP8CLE.
