Biography

I was 1st licenced in March 1990 and held the callsign of ZL2TAW, which I held for 18 years. I then moved to VK & got the callsign VK4TAW. My QTH is located on the beautiful northside of Brisbane city, Queensland, where the sun shines almost all year round.

I currently have an Icom IC-718 which I use for portable ops. Otherwise I run a SWL station, and I monitor the bands, when time permits. The rigs I use in the shack are the Kenwood R-5000, which has served me well for the last 25years, Elad FDM-S1 SDR and a Wellbrook ALA1530 Loop antenna. I have always had a passion for SWLing and utility monitoring and still love it after 30 years.

I am chasing the eQSL awards as a SWL, so please respond to my eQSL

73's de Doug
