Biography

Hi there, my name is Matt and my call sign is VE3MAT. I'm 31 years old and have been licensed since 2011. Technology has always interested me and been a passion, and amateur radio is a great way to explore that interest.

Equipment

Yaesu FT-60: My first hand-held radio, also 2 meter & 70 centimeters

Yaesu VX-8GR: It's got GPS and APRS capabilities as well. This radio transmits APRS data using VE3MAT-7.

Yaesu FT-7800R: This is used as a link radio to enable EchoLink and IRLP functionality for my EchoIRLP node (VA3YLS, IRLP node 2114) serving the downtown Barrie area.
