Biography
I was born in 1977 and I am an Electronics and Sound Technician. Since 2004 I’m working at a local radio station in Rethymno. I’m also a CO-Owner at a Web development and networks company and at a local news Web portal.
I have been involved in electronics and radio communications since I was a child, whereas in 2004 I got my radio amateur license with Callsign SV9KNA and become a member of R.A.S.C. (Radio Amateur Society of Crete), the only Amateur Radio organisation in Crete and my QSL card exchange is rooted via eQSL.cc or direct email.
My QTH is located in the town of Rethymno in the well know island of Crete in Greece, which is a separate radio country with callsign SV9 and IOTA code EU-015.
If you ever find yourselves in Rethymno, you can have access to the local repeaters of R.A.S.C., RU72 Analogue Voice Repeater and SV9L DMR Repeater as well as a lot of other repeaters in a number of close by towns in Crete.
I am active in HF, VHF, UHF, bands with Analog & Digital modes (SSB, FM, SSTV, FT8 & FT4 digital modes, RTTY, DMR, Fusion, APRS, Echolink, etc.) Lately I have been spending quite some time on Satellite Communications.
