Biography

Hi All !!!

I was born in Naousa in the northern part of Greece in 1956 and still am a resident of it, although now, I am working as a truck driver ,for an Austrian international transports company. I STILL am married to Georgia and we have three kids:Sonia (29),Adam (28),and Dimitrios(20)

My hobbys are Amateur radio (of course !!) for many-many years ,computing and most of all, music of all kinds,especially Greek.I also used to be profesional musician, participating in many concerts international and domestic, with famous (and nonfamous) Greek and also international artists.

Equipment

At home for HF,I use the Icom IC-7000 with my vertical R8 antenna from Cushcraft. Also I use my old Yaesu FT-840 as a backup now (although retired!! ) with an antenna tuner from LDG (Z100) and antenna is a homemade Dipole.

Usually I work Digital modes and for this purpose I use an Acer laptop running the software needed (mostly MixW or HRDL suites).

For local qsos in VHF-UHF I use the Kenwood TM-D700E for APRS and voice,with Diamond X-510 and a Cushcraft beam for the difficult situations.

Also you may find me on DStar repeaters using the DVDongle and the Icom 2820 or the Icom 880 or the Icom 31 portable radio for mobile or portable use

My WX APRS home station ( as SV2LLJ-2 ) setup is:

WX Station : Watson , Interfacing program : Weather Display .

TX/RX : Kenwood TM - D700 , APRS Program : UiView32

Also when mobile I use the Icom IC 7000 for HF,the Icom 2820 for DStar operations and the Kenwood TM D 710 for APRS use (as SV2LLJ-14)
