Biography

Hi there,

I'am John, born in august 1946 in Leeuwarden in the province Friesland in the Netherlands and I did living from 1989 till oktober 2017in a small town called Bolsward also in the province Friesland. (JO23SB).
Bolsward is a very nice small town in the northern part of the Netherlands in the province Friesland 10 km from the 'Waddenzee'.
From oktober 2017 I lived in Hoogblokland near Gorichem in the province Zuid-Holland in
the Netherlands. From december 1. 2018 I live in Bienstadt, Thuringen, Germany.
I went to Croatia at march 2019 for 6 month for holiday on a campsite near Rovinj, JN65TC.
In october 2019 I travelt back to the Netherlands for the winter,

In 1975 I passed the exam for the Novice licence (callsign PD0AAK) and in 1976 for the Full licence. My new callsign: PE1ATY.

After a lot of years QRV on 2 mtr and 70 cm I finished to be active in 1988. Now since november 2014 I pict up the HAM hobby to be a little bit active again. In the past I was only active on vhf/uhf but since april 2016 I'am also QRV on HF: 20, 40 and 80 mtr with the Yeasu FT-857D, 100 Watt max. on SSB and on 2 mtr and 70 cm. I like to make QSOs on HF! HI.

Next summer (2023) from 25.april till 1.oktober I'am QRV from Croatia on 10 and 20 mtr,
Locator; JN65TD.
