Biography

My name is Stan (short from org. polish - Stanislaw) and I was born on the 8th of August 1961 in Poland.

I'm happy married and working in commercial electronics / avionics NAV/COM.

My first contact with radio and CW was made during my basic school periode in the years 1972-1975. I've listen to small transistor radio and discovered CW and RTTY transmissions on HF bands. In the same time (somwhere in 1974) I saw quiet interesting movie about (in general) communication and its devices – like millitary radio's, press telex machines an ofcourse – hamradio! During the projection of this movie I knew – I'll do anything to be a real HAM!

In 1979 I've got first license with call SP4EDB. In that time I worked CW only.

Almost 30 years later I've been returned to this hobby with call PA1EDB. Suffix is ofcourse „my old nostalgic” from the first call in Poland.

For all this periode I kept my love for QRP and especially - for portable operations!
