Biography

I am 65 years old and I am retired.
I started with the hobby in 1983.
I have two calls: on4kpu and ot9p.
I worked for a large American company.
I have been working in this company since 1970.
High school I learnt Electronics.
I do not speak English fluently.
I speak French and Italian.
I do not collect awards and I am not participating in contest alone.
Sometimes I like chasing DX.
I am paricipating in Fieldday (HF and VHF).
We can put up long wire antennas and we built some kind of antenna
like loop, vertical antenna in phase or anti-phase, two element
W8JK antenna and monoband vertical antenna.
I read Radcom and CQ-QSO magazines and I am member of RSG and UBA.

Equipment

I have a commercial equipment (IC-756 Pro 3 of Icom).
I have recently put up a new antenna.
This antenna is a loop for 80/40 m.
My antenna is 86 m long and it is 10 m high, so it is quite low.
I use an Antenna Tuner with a balanced feedlines(300R twin).
Feeding loop with flat Ribbon feeder with windows was a useful of balanced transmission line can be used at high SWR.
For Uppers bands my antenna is a Cubical Quad two element tri-band of Hy-Gain.
Believe me it works very well!
