Biography

I am 47 years old and I am mostly active on HF but only during winter and if possible I like to do the occasional contest. Also I try to do my bit in the Clubs field-days. (I always try to make time for this Ham mayor event). Fortunately my XYL is very supporting for our hobby!!

I`ve been into Ham radio since I was 16years as SWL, but finally collected the courage to study for my basic (ON3 licence) 3 years ago and passed my test 5th januari 2014.
All this was made possible because of the support of the OM`s in my local radio club WLD who organise courses.
This was a great relief when I passed and was finally licenced. But, as was the joy of the licence came the desire to use the full aspect of the hobby and operate on all the freq`s in the band-plans I decided to go for it and went for my full ( Harec) licence. This was achieved in December 2014 and since then I am ON5WW. Next dream is to master CW, but this is going to be difficult I think.

Equipment

I work in my shack with a Kenwood TS690 and an FD4 OCFD. A Yeasu FT 7800 for 2m and 70cm with a vertical GP. A Kenwood TR 751 is used for 2m SSB work
Also I use a Yaesu FT897D with an T2FD for my 2nd qth/A rig and on holidays with a Buddipole.
