Biography

I have been a ham since 1970 when I was first licensed as a novice with the callsign WN2NYR. A year later I became WA2NYR, a call I held until the end of the century. I selected NI5F as my callsign since it is musical and quite short in Morse Code. I have operated as DA2EJ in Aschaffenburg, Germany from 1979 to 1982.

I currently operate RTTY and CW contests and do a good bit of HF JT-65 mode at other times. I enjoy DXing especially on 160-meters.
