| Biography The North American QRP CW Club was formed in October 2004 with the intention of promoting the use of CW at QRP power levels on the ham bands. Lifetime membership in the club is entirely free of any charges. The club holds monthly two-hour sprints that have become perhaps the most popular such weekday sprints in the World approaching or surpassing 200 participants each sprint. The club also holds month-long 'challenges' whereby it challenges its members to do something different involving CW and QRP each month. One example is to make words relating to a topic from the letters in call signs of stations worked during the month. Another is to make 30 QSOs on 30 meters in a month. The club has QRS nets for those wanting to increase their CW ability. Other features are a CW Assistance program, an extensive awards program, and so on.
