Biography

Greetings Everyone,
I was born in 1963 and have lived in Western New York all my life.
I started out with a Novice License and Went to Technician and Tech Plus (With Code)
Jumped to General Class and now at the Advanced class! I am currently studying for the highest in the Amateur Service Extra Class. I should be ready by May or June 2024.

I come from a family of Amateur Radio operators. Silent Key W2WHK My Father
My Brother Tom (N2TF)

I love DX and work many bands. I use Dipole antennas for the space i have and a CHV-5X Comet for again limited space. I love rag Chewing and some contests. I like good quality kits and my own designs sometimes.

In my spare time when not on the Radio i rebuild vintage and antique Clocks along with model Railroading In HO scale.

I will look for you on the airwaves and Good Dx to you all.

Equipment

I have two setups at my QTH. The Porch is a Xiegu G-90 running a 300 Watt Amplifier
and uses an East-West Sloper 4-1 Balun End Fed.

I also have the Great IC-7300 and 6 different antennas to choose from. This is located in my basement. I am getting my Ameritron AL-811H ready for use soon when time permits.

I do run QRP 2-5 Watts with a Usdx Transceiver that works super.

I am ready to go Mobile and most likely venture into a Yeasu HF Mobile rig.

I may be an Activator for POTA but that is up in the Air.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
