Biography

Welcome to my QRZCQ page

Previous callsigns, 2W0LKX & MW7WAD, passed the full on 08/02/2022

WAB Square: SO27

Currently the shack radios are, Yaesu FTDX10 & the Yaesu FT991A.

Antenna's are:

Antenna 1 is a homebrew multi element vertical covering 80m, 40m, 30m 20m 17m 15m 12m, 10m and 6m using 6 vertical 1/4w wave element spaced on a 10m fibreglass pole. 80m is managed using an inverted L configuration. (This is the same design as the DX Commander ABV made by Callum M0MCX).

Project in the making is a switch box to bring in top band remotely using a coil on the 80m element.

Antenna 2 is a 31.7m/104ft long doublet.

Diamond X510 on a 8m long aluminium pole, just below this is a 4m Halo,

I also have lots of other homebrew antennas including a 6m Moxon, gain master for 12 and 10m when needed. I enjoy making all antennas and for me, this is the part of the hobby.

I also have a little CRT Space-V for 2m mobile and a Baofeng UV-82

Mobile use, I have an Yaesu FTM300D and a small quarter wave on the roof.

Before passing my exams, I was a very keen SWL and still really enjoy just listening to distant stations.
