Biography

Hi and thank you for looking me up on this site i was born in colchester essex and lived in a small town called halstead in essex i have been intrested in shortwave radio since i was about 7 when my parents used to have a old streogram that had shortwave on it i was intrested in listening to the foreign stations fading in and out and also the muffling sounds wich was ssb i also started out on good old cb radio that kick started me into amateur radio. I joind a local radio club Chelmsford amateur radio club and taken my foundation licence this was a new thing at the time i gradually progress on to one of the first groups to take the new intermediate exam then i finely taken the very last city and guilds exam to gain my full licence m0gkw this was before you had to take the three exams to gain a full licence so i feal quite happy that i did all three even though i did not have to i came out of radio for a few years as i was a carer for my mum but now sadley passed and i moved up to wales to start a new life there as my other half live there hance the mw0gkw 73 all the best and catch you down the log
