Biography

Hello,

My name is Michael and I live in Alexandria which is about 20 miles north of Glasgow and at the southern end of Loch Lomond in Scotland.

I am a retired Engineer with a background in the Armed Forces and more recently in a major engineering company.

I have a Foundation level licence so I am rather inexperienced and spend most of my time just listening. I have transmitted a few times with some success. Recently, I have started using FT8.

Equipment

Yaesu FT450D, a Yaesu SCU 17 Interface unit with an end-fed 7.6m wire antenna in the attic + an external 5.5m Vertical.
An AT-778UV VHF/UHF set.
