Biography

I am now operating from the beautiful Isles of Scilly, 28 miles of the South West of England.
Locator IN69UV, EU-011.

I was a SWL from around 5 yrs of age and got on air as a pirate DJ in the early 70's on a South London station called radio Alfa. Got in to CB when it hit the UK and I always intended to become a HAM it just took longer to get around to actually doing the exam.

For many years I was a competitive fencer eventually gaining my coaching qualification. I was for a number of years chairman of the Bexley Fencing Club (Londan) before a new job required moving away to Cambridgeshire. Ran another Fencing club there for a while before getting into white water kayaking, latter qualifying as a senior instructor. I am no longer able to do white water kayaking due to back injury although I do a little sea kayaking on the Isles of Scilly. As kayaking started to become physically difficult for me I took up scuba diving qualifying as an Open Water Diver in 2002. The Islands are a fantastic place to dive as apart for the crystal clear water and marine life there are more shipwrecks around the Islands than around the rest of the UK.

Thanks you for reading my info and I look forward to meeting you on air.
