Biography

My name is Steve.  I am based in Walsall, West Midlands, about 15 miles north of Birmingham.

I was first licensed as an M7 in September 2020, then as a 2E0 in December 2020. I finally went on to get my M0 licence in December 2021. I have been interested in electronics and engineering since I was young. When I left school I went in to an apprenticeship with GEC Sensors, formally Marconi Avionics and studied engineering. As I am entering my later years I thought it was time to engage in a hobby that allows me to use my skills. Whilst I’m not on the air as much as I would like to be, I love the hobby.
