Biography

Once met a Ham Named Byron, his call is K4TFY ans as I was impressed at to what he could do with a small HT, that was it, I was completely captured into a wonderful hobby and means of public service when required. I have had the opportunity to meet hundreds of fine folks in the hobby from coast to coast as I drove semi truck for years and usually via 2 meters would make life long friends.
One day cruising along I10 in Florida, I thought I wold just take a shot at throwing out my call on 6 meter simplex, (52.525) sure enough, A station responded to my surprize, KJ4G from Tallahassee, we talked a few min and decided to meet for a coffee and when he pulled up and I saw the Highway Patrol Uniform I thought to myself, oh man, here we go. This maybe trouble whereas a truck driver usually avoids contact weith Law enforcement. Paul turned out to be a great guy that lives Amateur Radio to a new level, and as a result I have learned volumes from him.
I sincerly appreciate and value every contact I am able to make and keep the memories of the folks and their stories, as their stories are as diverse and interesting as this great country, The United Staes of America
