Great ham radio hobby, full of memories for 8 decades. Bless our hobby!

Equipment

Three 7600 Icom rigs and amplifiers at 2 station positions
FT1000 Mk5 Field and Quadra amp on 80-40m mainly
Moseley 5 band beam at just 38 feet, Bazooka and sloper on 60m
Zero 5 vertical for 80-30
No longer on 160m after 55 years (March 30, 2017) and also got off 60m in mid 2020 and not on 6m since 2018. So 160, 60 and 6 no longer on my DXing chase list.

Was a 60m operator since day 1 on July 3, 2003... DXCC on 60m with 183 countries when I dropped off chasing DX on that band. Do not use FT8 on any band, so 60m became useless to me to have to make schedules for ATNOs or asking the DX station for a quick CW QSO, etc. Not all had email addresses and that really hurt my chasing the rare ones, etc. QRZ.com has complete bio and photo of me at /EA8 in 2017 as I operated WARC bands only! DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
