Biography

Greetings! Welcome to my QRZCQ page. My interest in communications came many years ago as a scanner enthusiast. In 2003 I became a 9-1-1 dispatcher. Our 9-1-1 center has a dedicated RACES room and in 2006, I received my Technician "ticket" (as KC2PPI). I did this to act as an intermediary between the comm center and the RACES folks. In June, 2015 I upgraded to general class.

In 2020, with all the pandemic madness in the country, I decided to yet again change my callsign for the final time. I chose K2JDG as my last callsign. A call that had never been assigned and my initials! (Now to change it....everywhere!)

I am learning all the wonders of HF modes and am learning both Echolink and PSK31 operations. In my spare time I also volunteer with my local fire department. I have proudly served for 24 years.

Hope to see you on the air! 73

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
