Biography

US COAST GUARD 1965-1969/STATIONED ABOARD USCGC EASTWIND. TWO TRIPS TO ANTARCTICA DURING
DEEP FREEZE OPERATIONS, BREAKING ICE TO RESUPPLY MCMURDO SOUND RESEARCH STATION.
AIR NATIONAL GUARD FOR 16 YRS. VARIOUS OPERATIONS. My shack burned to the ground on 1/10/2021. Lost all my radios, computers and logs. Fortunately I had back ups of the logs. Purchased an Icom 7300, Elecraft has no supplies at this time to build
the K3 yet. I like the 7300. At my age (74) learning a new radio is a challenge. I'll get thru it tho'.
