Biography
QSL Note, I don't typically QSL direct for contesting, but love to for actual conversational QSO's. I currently use only QRZ.COM logbook. Being new, it is by far the easiest one I have found. I do QSL Direct for OMISS and HHH Nets. No SASE needed, I will gladly (and probably already have) send you a QSL card.
-------
I am a new operator based in Topeka, KS. Recently passed my general. I am a technical director by trade. I have worked in broadcast, theater, and concert gigs over the years. For the last 9 years I have served as the technical director at Fellowship Bible Church in Topeka, KS. I have had an interest in ham radio for many years but only recently acted on that interest.
I am married with 3 amazing children. I love my work and hobbies that include photography, trail biking, and shooting sports.
My callsign, K0AVL is a vanity callsign, I started as KE0BZC. I changed if mainly because it is a tongue twister and that my years of work in Audio, Video, and Lighting made K0AVL a good callsign.
