Biography

Hallo to everybody,
I'm Stefano IT9CWA, 65 years old, married, two sons. I was a manager working for the most important italian bank;now I'm retired. I enjoy the radio since 1972. I started on 11 meters band (284 reached and confirmed countries with callsign 1AT287) and, after so many years, I got my first ham license in 1997 with callsign IW9GLW. After two years I got my extra class license. I live in Cefalù (locator JM78AA, long 14deg00'47''E, lat 38deg01'54''N, Palermo province, Sicily Island, IOTA EU-025), a famous touristic city on the mediterranean sea coast.

During summer 2012, I started with another station located in my holidays' home. The village is called Gratteri, 700 meters a.s.l., locator JM67XX (long.13deg58'20''E, lat 37deg57'56''N, Palermo province, Sicily Island, IOTA EU-025).
