Biography

Born in 1963 in Florence, radio enthusiast from 1974 in CB band after technical studies , and secondary school diploma in electronics and telecommunication, got his om licence in 1988 with iw5cix call sign, that after 1991 changed into ik5run. He lives near Florence with his wife Cristina and his 2 children Martino born in 1995 and Noemi born in 1998. With his ham friends he does every year the best contests and dx expeditions all over the world. He often got close to first place in DXww dx contests on Qrp mode, and at European level

Elecraft k3 enthusiast user, using all HF band and 6 mt band , Have 5 el. yagi for 10-15-20 mt , 3 el yagi for 12-17 mt , vertical for 80 mt and full size dipole for 40 and 30 mt. Work also 160 mt from my qth but have some problems with the city QRN. Work any mondial contest with a good friend's company. Award: 5Band WAC , 5band DXCC , WAS . Challenge.
