Biography

Jászszentlászló Village celebrates its 140-year foundation in 2014. We as Jászszentlászló origins commemorate this event by establishing a special callsign amateur radio station HG140JLO. The suffix "JLO" is for abbreviation of our mother village's name. The club station's original callsign is HA8KUX.

The special callsign is valid till 31st December, 2014.

This callsign will be in air alternately either from Jászszentlászló (loc: JN96vn) or from Szeged (loc: KN06bg). Szeged is a larger city in the South part of Hungary.

We will be active from Jászszentlászló at least on the first weekend of May when the programs of official celebration (details: coming soon) organized by the Mayor's Office and a High Speed Telegraphy Competition organized by ourselves (details: http://www.ha8kux.com/) will take place.

Operators of HG140JLO are:
HA8KW Feco http://www.qrz.com/db/HA8KW
HA8ZE Feri http://www.qrz.com/db/HA8ZE
HA8RG Sanyi http://www.qrz.com/db/HA8RG
HA8RT Tomi http://www.qrz.com/db/HA8RT

We are especially CW enthusiasts but sometimes you can find us in SSB mode too on the HF bands. We intend to take part in some contests and these QSOs are also valid to get a QSL card.

One of the most important things, our QSL policy:

QSL via HA8KW based on the following guidelines:

1.) Direct QSL will be replied by direct way if SAE + sufficient postage is attached (2 USD or 1 new style IRC) otherwise we reply via bureau. Please do not write callsigns on the envelope! (You will get our QSL card after we got yours.)

2.) Bureau QSL vill be replied via bureau. (You will get our QSL card after we got yours.)
We will send our QSL card to the Hungarian hams automatically.

3.) e-QSL request will be replied by e-QSL. (We automatically send e-QSLs to the hams who are in our log.)

4.) Sorry, we do not have LotW account.

5.) SWL stations can send their QSL cards too with taking into consideration our QSL policy.

You can follow our log that is uploaded regularly: http://www.hamlog.eu/HG140JLO.

73, the HG140JLO team.
