Biography

Dear all

Welcome to my QRZCQ.COM profile.

Here some specs about me:

I started in 1976 with CB-Radio while I was ten years old. Most in my freetime I prefered to use CB to make new friends and meet them in person. During the 80`s, there were also a strong sun activity which alowed me to make DXing on 11m. I loved DXing, because of the different cultures and of course, we had no internet at this time. From tjhis time ago, I still have huge QSL-Card collection.

Later in my twentys, I changed my personal interest and my job came more and more in focus. Then I stopped for a long time being a CB radio operator and I had no time for my hobby.

2020 was my groundbreaking year: I decided to take up my hobby again. First with CB-Radio, and a year later, I fullfilled my own dream: I made the HAM licence (HB3). I set my goal now for 2025, to acomplish with the HB9 CEPT license to work on all bands.

But for now, I operate a Yaesu FT-991A as my home station with 100W powered on a Chameleon MPAS 2.0 Antenna for 160/80/15/10m and a Diamond X50NA for VHF/UHF (2m/70cm). My station mic is a Yaesu M-70D.

Furthermore, I use also the brand new President Washington for 10m and a President Lincoln II+ for field operating.

My XYL Shimaa, HE9WFS, a passionate SWL, use a superior JRC NRD-535DG HF Receiver on the same antenna with a MFJ-959C Antenna Tuner. Sometimes she also listen the bands on a Yaesu FRG-8800.

Hope to hear u soon on the bands.

Equipment

Yaesu FT-991A (My station mic is a Yaesu M-70D)
PRESIDENT Washington (10m mobile)
President Lincoln II Plus (10m mobile)
CHAMELEON MPAS 2.0 Tactical antenna (80m - 10m) and a Diamond X50NA antenna for VHF/UHF (2m/70cm).

I'm not so often QRV on 160m, but only from time to time because I've to change my antenna configuration manually.
