Biography
I have been licenced since 1991 and am active on 2m/ 4m/ 70cms/ 6m and some HF. I belong to the Radio Society of Great Britain RSGB, G-QRP Club, Radio Amateur Old Timers Association RAOTA, Fists CW Club, Defence Electronics History Society DEHS, asnd locally the Edgware & District Radio Society E&DRS of which I am Secretary and also Elstree Amateur Radio Society EARS-GB.
My equipment is mainly Yaesu but also includes Trio, Kyodo and Standard transceivers. I also have contacts on IRLP using a 2m repeater in Sussex to the south of London from my QTH which is 300ft above sea level and using loft mounted (attic) antennas.
Now aged 65 I have been retired for almost four years and reckon it is the best job in the world. Always happy to ragchew as well as having a dip in to contests in a non-serious way, I enjoy my Amateur Radio. 73 Steve
