Biography

born 1951 in Liège, Belgium
1957 first contact with radio, listening to Sputnik with my father
1973 become a ham radio with the call ON4EU and officer in the Belgian army, in the signal corps
2004 migrated in France and get the call F5VLB
2006 : Loss of my dear wife, mother of my two children
2016 : retired after 46 years of work in airfield lighting systems (1980/1985) in middle east and far east, and manufacturer of equipments for hazardous area (1985/2016)

Specialised in elf/vlf/lf rx and tx

Three first French transmissions on 8.25 kHz using homemade equipment and earth probe antennas. Reception of my signal confirmed by Paul Nicholson UK, Markus Venster (DL) and Renato Romero (Italy).

receiver : ESH-2 Rhode and Schwarz and home made
transmitter : homemade
antenna : 9 earth probes antenna 2m long, single turn loop 1m2, 1 horizontal loop 125m² at 3m above ground double loop 3m diam 200 turns each one, ferrite antennas
many home made tx and rx only for vlf/lf including a 8.25kHz tx
