Biography

At present I'm living in Gran Canaria island.

I work mostly QRP CW with simple wire antennas and at present I trying to get some QRP Award (DXCC, GQRP master, WAS, WAZ, WAC, etc.) so you can find me around QRP CW "watering holes". I enjoy working weak signal stations (like mine) and nowadays I mainly operate at home from 40m to 6m using two antennas: a homebrew vertical antenna 8 meters long (2x5m radials), and a homebrew vertical antenna 3 meters long with 4x2.5m radials (I coupled it from 20m & up). Other times I go /P or /M with dipoles, verticals or LW.

On holidays I can operate /P from the other islands in the Canaries, mostly Fuerteventura island.

I also work other digital modes like PSK31 or RTTY in QRP.

EA8BVP is my callsign since 19th October 2005. Former callsigns: EC8AYR and EB8AKF (until 19th October 2005). EA8BVP was owned by now EA8CK.

(Update 17/March/2014:

- DXCC QRP: have worked 121 entities with power from 1W to 5W.

- DXCC 2xQRP: have worked 41 entities.

- GQRP master: completed but waiting QSL.

- WAS QRP: have worked 41 out of 50 states

- WAZ QRP: have worked 26 out of 40 zones

- WAC QRP: completed)

-----------------------------------------------------

- WAS QRP: 41 estados trabajados de 50

- WAZ QRP: 26 zonas trabajadas de 40

- WAC QRP: Terminado)
