QSL directa, y LoTW, eQSL y OQRS diaria o semanalmente.

Vivo cerca de El Vendrell, una localidad de la "Costa Dorada", en Catalunya, entre Barcelona (75km) y Tarragona (20km).

Obtuve mi 1a licencia en el 1992 con el indicativo EC3CYO estando activo durante varios años hasta que abandoné la radioafición y dedicarme a mi actividad pública. En aquellos años operaba en SSB con un Kenwood TS-440 y una antena vertical para las bandas de 10/15/20 metros.

Desde el 2012 mi indicativo es EA3HRE pero segui inactivo.

Ahora (verano 2020) y con más tiempo libre decidí volver a esta bonita afición, por lo que desempolvé todo el material que durante años guarde cuidadosamente, pero he tenido que actualizarlo un poco. Actualmente volveré a trabajar básicamente en SSB en bandas HF, incluidas las WARC y localmente en VHF-UHF. Veremos como evoluciono en modos, equipos y antenas.

Lo que más me gusta es el DX, pero mis actuales condiciones no son las que quiero para ello:
- Yaesu FT-857D (Multibanda HF + 50MHZ + VHF + UHF.
- Cushcraft R8 (6-10-12-15-17-20-30-40 m) a 15 metros sobre el suelo, en zona residencial por lo que no tengo casi ruido.
- Diamond X510HDN (VHF-UHF) , a la misma altura que la anterior.
- También uso pequeños juguetes: Yaesu FT3D (espléndido) y VX-7R.

Siempre uso un Portátil Mac para mi trabajo, viajes, y para mis aficiones. En él, uso el log diario y modos digitales: RUMlogNG, FLDigi & FLRig, WSJTX, ...

Esporádicamente uso un PC con Windows para concursos, propagación y meteorología: N1MM, HamCAP, Ambient Weather, WeatherLink, ...

Otras actividades que realizo en mi tiempo libre es la cria de pájaros exóticos, concretamente el Diamante de Gould, originario del Territorio Norte, Australia (zona noroeste de Queensland). En el 2016 fuí Campeón de Catalunya al mejor ejemplar.

I obtained my 1st license in 1992 with the callsign EC3CYO, being active for several years until I left amateur radio and dedicate myself to my public activity. In those years it operated in SSB with a Kenwood TS-440 and a vertical antenna for the 10/15/20 meters bands.

Since 2012 my callsign is EA3HRE but I remained inactive.

Now (summer 2020) with more free time I decided to return to this beautiful hobby, so I dusted off all the material that I carefully saved for years, but I had to update it a bit. At the moment I will go back to work basically SSB in HF bands, including the WARC, and locally VHF-UHF. We will see how I evolve in modes, equipment and antennas...

What I like the most is the DX, but my current conditions are not what I want for it:

- Yaesu FT-857D (All HF + 50MHz + VHF + UHF.
- Cushcraft R8 (6-10-12-15-17-20-30-40 m) at 15 meters above the ground, in a residential area so I have almost no noise.
- Diamond X510HDN (VHF-UHF), at the same height as the previous antenna.
- I also use small radio "toys": Yaesu FT3D (superb) & VX-7R.

I always use a Mac Laptop for my work, travel, and hobbies. In it, I use the daily log and digital modes: RUMlogNG, FLDigi & FLRig, WSJTX, ...

I sporadically use a Windows PC for contests, propagation, and weather: N1MM, HamCAP, Ambient Weather, WeatherLink, ...

Other activities that I do in my free-time is the breeding of exotic birds, specifically the Gouldian Finch, originally from the Northern Territory, Australia (northwest Queensland). In 2016 I was Champion of Catalonia for the best specimen.
