Biography

Beginning as a SWL (1958) listening on 40m AM with the Broadcasting RX of my family the first german Ham ... and "infected me with the ham-radio-microbie. When I've 18 years was 2nd. OP. at DL0DO and than I goes first time to visit in Spain my dear friend José (in that time EA1HM). Later I trie my home collsign DK6DX and soon TI6PHW. 3 yaears after that I was living in Spain and got my callsign EA1ND. But I'm returning to Germany for a further vocational (business) training. I changed from a textile technician to an industrial and data salesman in order to have better job prospects in Spain.Back in Spain I had to be very flexible due to my job and worked in Northern, Southern and Western Spain, as well as in the Canary Islands. I participated in small DX expeditions, got the guest license C31LD in Andorra and have been living in Catalonia for more than 25 years (now as a pensioner). Hence my callsign EA3ANC. An amateur radio 2nd. I still have QTH (temporarily) in the south of Germany. In Spain I have been a member of the Civil Defense (Protección Civil) since 1974 and I am a member of REMER and of Protecció Civil in Creixell. I hope after more than 50 years in the amateur radio to continue to be on short wave and VHF QRV. Vy 73 Peter
