Biography

I'm DO2JSA Jürgen and I live in the beautiful state of Schleswig-Holstein in the north of Germany and about 60 km northwest of Hamburg.

Wilster in the Wilstermarsch is called Our Town, a small town just behind Itzehoe. The fire brigade is retired due to age, but I work in disaster control in the Steinburg district on the management staff of the I.u.K. employed. (Information and Communication) as a radio operator from January 2013. (in German DISASTER PROTECTION)

I got the HAM license in May 2007 and my station has these parts (as of June 2015): a Uniden 2020 transceiver (over 50 years old), since August 2, 2014 my contest transceiver Ten-Tec Orion, a YAESU FT- 991 an FT991A, an IC 7300, a YAESU FUSION transceiver FTM-400XDE for 2m and 70cm digital relays. The antenna for shortwave is a Kelemen dipole. For 2m and 70cm I use a Diamond V2000 at 12m above sea level. In my Volkswagen Caddy Maxi I have a YAESU FUSION transceiver FTM-400DXE. My favorite band is the 15m band and I regularly receive it when the band is open. In digital, often directly in C4FM on the QRG 145.375 in VW mode or sometimes in FM. Otherwise I often use my Motorola TETRA handheld device in the air to chat with my closest friends.

On August 31, 2018 I changed the DARC chapter and am now in the Big Chapter Kiel-Molfsee DOK M-30. Since July 2022 I have also been in the GERMAN VFDB Z-71 Itzehoe local branch QSL only via DARC or letter mail.
