Biography

Had my license for just over a year, but just now starting to really get into it. I have been interested in Amateur radio since I was a kid, but didn't have anyone around me who was a HAM. My Brother got his Tech license in 2019, but didn't tell me until 2022. I studied and tested up to General in the first sitting, then studied more and got my Extra 2 weeks later. Still didn't know the first thing about the actual USE of a radio though. Testing is fine, but it doesn't even touch the etiquette of actually pressing that PTT button on a mike.

Have not been able to get any "quality" equipment yet, but did manage to scrape together enough to cover 160m down to 70 cm only missing 6m.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Xiegu G90 paired to a homemade dipole
Radioddity QB25 paired to a mag mount triple band mobile antenna.

Old battery out of my F-350 and a spare battery charger

Sad, but true. That is all of it. I have worked Europe, Mexico, and a lot of the US already though, so I am happy with it.
